[YesAuto News] BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. Since November 11, 2014, it has recalled some imported 2014 MINI ONE series cars.
Recall model: MINI ONE with production date from May 2014 to July 2014. According to the company's statistics, 88 vehicles are involved in mainland China.
Reason for the recall: The spare tires of vehicles within the scope of this recall are fixed by spare tire grooves, bolts (located under the body) and nuts on the positioning plate in the trunk. Due to the use of nuts without self-locking, vibrations generated during vehicle operation may gradually loosen the nuts, posing safety hazards.
Solution: BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will replace the self-locking nuts for imported vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate hidden dangers. The stock vehicle will be sold after the defect is eliminated.
BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will contact relevant car owners through authorized dealers to arrange maintenance. Users can call the BMW customer service hotline 400-800-6666 for consultation for more information. (Compilation/Car House Xingmin)
