[YesAuto Racing Exposure] Mattias Ekstrom, the two-time DTM German Touring Car Masters champion, will participate in the World Rallycross (a popular European rally event) this year after his success. Recently, he released the car he prepared for this event, an Audi S1 car with a power output of up to 600 horsepower.
This car is still in the debugging stage. It is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, which has been rebuilt by the team’s technicians. It can burst out with a maximum output of 600 horsepower, and is matched with a four-wheel drive system. The racing car can accelerate from 0-100km/h in only 1.9 seconds, and its performance is very strong.
This year's World Rallycross event can be described as a gathering of big names, not only the DTM champion Mattias Ekstrom driving this S1 car, but also American racing stars Tanner Foust, Ken Block and WRC champion Petter Solberg, as well as former F1 champion Jacques Villeneuve.
