[YesAuto News] On November 5th local time, Ferrari announced the third quarter of 2018 earnings. In the third quarter of this year, Ferrari sold a total of 2,262 vehicles, an increase of 216 vehicles over the same period last year, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%.
Among them, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) sold 1,005 vehicles, an increase of 11% year-on-year; Americas sold 770 vehicles, an increase of 5% year-on-year; China sold 162 vehicles, an increase of 7% year-on-year; other Asia-Pacific regions (Japan, Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand and Malaysia) sold 325 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 27%.
Ferrari officials said that thanks to the increase in sales of Ferrari Portofino and 812 Superfast, it offset the decline in sales of LaFerrari Aperta.
In the first three quarters of this year, Ferrari sold 6,853 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 7%. Among them, 3181 vehicles were sold in EMEA, an increase of 8% year-on-year; 2,189 vehicles were sold in the Americas, an increase of 5% year-on-year; 522 vehicles were sold in China, an increase of 15% year-on-year; 961 vehicles were sold in other Asia-Pacific regions, an increase of 5% year-on-year.
Ferrari's net income in the third quarter increased to 838 million euros (about 6.61257 million yuan), a slight increase of 3% year-on-year. Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased from 266 million euros (approximately 2,09898 million yuan) in the same period last year to 278 million euros (approximately 2,19367 million yuan), a year-on-year increase of 4.7%.
According to the plan, Ferrari is expected to sell 9,000 vehicles (including supercars), with sales exceeding 3.4 billion euros (approximately RMB 26.82906 billion), and an adjusted profit before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization of at least 1.1 billion euros (approximately RMB 8.67999 billion) .
