[YesAuto Recall] Recently, Sichuan Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products” and decided to recall November 1, 2011 from December 10, 2014. The F99 manual transmission, F10 manual transmission, and F12 manual transmission models produced between Japan and October 31, 2012 total 7,966 vehicles.

Recall models:

Since December 10, 2014, the F99 manual transmission, F10 manual transmission and F12 manual transmission models produced between November 1, 2011 and October 31, 2012 will be recalled, totaling 7,966 vehicles.

Reason for recall:

Due to the low protection capability of ABS actuator assembly, some vehicles within the scope of this recall may be interfered by transient surge pulses of the entire vehicle circuit under extreme conditions, causing damage to individual ABS internal components, forming a current loop, and causing continuous heat. Accumulation, which causes ablation of the ABS circuit board, which poses a safety hazard.

Solution:

Sichuan Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. will inspect the vehicles within the scope of the recall, and replace the qualified ABS actuator assemblies for the vehicles with problems free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine will organize the supervision of this recall. If it is found that vehicles outside the scope of the recall still have similar safety hazards, or the recall measures cannot effectively eliminate the defects, the manufacturer will be required to re-recall or take other compulsory measures.
