[YesAuto News] Recently, Southeast (Fujian) Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Motors Sales (China) Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products” and decided to start from September 2014. Starting on 12th, some Mitsubishi Yishen vehicles were recalled, a total of 52,247 vehicles. Since September 19, 2014, 35,357 imported Outlander EX Jinjie, Jinxuan, Lancer EX, Lancer Yihao Lushen vehicles have been recalled.

From September 12, 2014, part of Mitsubishi Yishen vehicles produced from February 10, 2009 to November 14, 2011, totaling 52,247 vehicles will be recalled; from September 19, 2014, part of the recall will be November 7, 2007 A total of 35,357 imported Outlander EX Jinjie, Jinxuan, Lancer EX, Lancer Yihao Lushen vehicles produced between Japan and March 9, 2011.

Reason for recall:

Some of the vehicles within the scope of this recall have problems with the materials of the alternator drive belts of the engines of the vehicles, which may cause the resin pulleys to tilt and wear. After continued use, the drive belt will be damaged and fall off. In turn, it may cause excessive battery power consumption, overheating of the engine, and increase the steering force of the steering wheel, which poses a safety hazard.

Solution:

Southeast (Fujian) Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Motors Sales (China) Co., Ltd. will replace the alternator drive belts for vehicles with problems within the scope of the recall free of charge, and replace the resin pulleys for vehicles with worn out resin pulleys for free to eliminate safety Hidden dangers.

In addition, as of September 19, 2014, some imported Outlander EX Kings cars from the 2007-2009 model year will be recalled. The production date is from January 18, 2007 to August 29, 2009 and the imported Grand Blue for the 2008-2010 model year. Di Auto, the production date is May 31, 2008-November 22, 2010. According to the company's statistics, 19,935 vehicles were involved in mainland China.

Recall scope:

As of September 19, 2014, recalled some imported Outlander EX Elite cars for 2007-2009 models, the production date is January 18, 2007-August 29, 2009 and 2008-2010 imported Grandi cars , The production date is May 31, 2008-November 22, 2010. Reason for recall:

For vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to the use of work gloves soaked with silicone grease during the assembly process of the brake light, a small amount of grease has entered the contact part of the switch, and the switch is turned on. The heat generated at the time may form an insulator (silicon oxide). Therefore, the brake light switch cannot be turned on, causing the brake light to fail to turn on, which poses a safety hazard.

Solution:

Mitsubishi Motors Sales (China) Co., Ltd. will notify relevant customers through authorized dealers from September 12, 2014, and replace the brake light switches of vehicles within the scope of the recall with new ones from September 19, 2014, in order to eliminate Hidden dangers.
