However, in Zhu Huarong's view, the Chinese market is facing some new changes and opportunities. The first is the improvement of the reputation of Chinese brands. According to the data on the development trend of redemption in the Chinese market of China Automobile Center, the redemption rate of Chinese brands in the first half of this year is as high as 38%, second only to the German system; secondly, Chinese users are very pursuit and eager for core technology. According to a McKinsey research report, 49% of Chinese consumers believe that fully autonomous driving is very important, which is much higher than that of other countries such as Germany and the United States. At the same time, the premium they are willing to pay for autonomous vehicles is also much higher than that of Germany and the United States; third, International policy orientation is the boost for corporate development and will provide support for Chinese brands to participate in global market competition; fourth, sharing of information and platforms is an opportunity for corporate development. In the future, the competition and cooperation between car companies and cross-border companies will become more obvious.
Based on this, Changan Automobile has carried out a series of actions, including the release of the Shangri-La plan and the Beidou Tianshu plan. In the future, Changan Automobile will further accelerate its deployment in the field of autonomous driving. According to the plan, Changan Automobile plans to achieve L3 autonomous driving by 2020. Go public, and achieve L4 listing in 2025. At the same time, Changan is further accelerating its cooperation with the outside world, joining forces with Dongfeng and FAW to create a greater circle of friends. Zhu Huarong specifically pointed out that the cooperation between Dongfeng, FAW and Changan is entirely voluntary.
