It commemorates Nissan's first pole position at the 1990 Le Mans 24 Hours of Le Mans 25 years ago.

The Nissan GT-R NISMO LM 21 car uses a blue and white color scheme with a red ribbon garland in the middle. The top and surroundings of the cockpit are also painted in red, which is exactly the same as the Nissan R90CK car. The car will be driven by the Japanese driver Matsuda Seo, the Spanish driver Lucas Ordóñez and the Russian driver Mark Shulzhitskiy.
