[YesAuto Race] Isuzu (ISUZU) recently released the D-MAX pickup truck developed for the 35th Dakar Rally in 2013. The car has a very tough and sharp appearance. Its 3.0-liter turbocharged engine can output a maximum power of 242 horsepower and an acceleration time of 0-100km/h in 7 seconds.
This D-MAX pickup racing car is based on the mass-produced Isuzu D-Max four-wheel drive pickup truck. It is equipped with a 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that can output 242 horsepower at 4800 rpm. It can output a peak torque of up to 589 Nm at 2000rpm. In order to adapt to the harsh environment of Dakar, the car is also equipped with Hollinger's 5-speed sequential gearbox and extreme rally clutch.
The D-MAX pickup truck is also equipped with a custom-made all-aluminum explosion-proof fuel tank with a capacity of 320 liters, and Toyo's Open Country M/TR mud tires.
