The official said that the fuel mode of the new system optimizes the timing of range extender intervention, so that it will not be like the previous power retention mode. As long as the power is less than 72%, the range extender will start and work with high power to charge the battery. , Resulting in unsatisfactory performance of vehicle NVH and energy consumption. The reason for the unsatisfactory performance of energy consumption is that there will be power loss during the process of generating power from the range extender and storing it in the battery. Therefore, compared to directly transferring the electricity to the motor-driven vehicle, the step of storing the battery and then driving the motor will consume more energy. .

And the new fuel priority mode will be smarter to choose the working conditions of the range extender's efficient operation while providing power to the motor while charging the battery. When the vehicle is stationary, the range extender is not activated as much as possible to bring a quieter environment to the passengers in the vehicle . However, there is a limit. For example, when the battery power is less than 55%, the range extender will still charge the battery when the vehicle is stationary. After driving about 104.5km, we returned to the gas station at the time of departure and calculated the fuel consumption to obtain the difference in fuel consumption per 100km between the two cars in different modes. The actual measurement result is that the ideal ONE fuel consumption with the new system (using fuel priority mode) is 7.33L/100km, while the fuel consumption with the old system (using the power retention mode) is 7.9L/100km, but the old system is more than the new system It has a pure electric battery life of 9km.

From the actual measurement results, the old system has 0.57L more fuel consumption than the new system at 100km, but at the same time it also has about 9km pure electric battery life than the new system. We converted 0.57L fuel into the new one. The mileage that the system model can travel is 7.8km, and after discounting the actual mileage of pure electric battery life, we find that there is no obvious difference in energy consumption between the two (energy is conserved as expected). Judging from this result, fuel priority has not achieved the improvement we expected in terms of energy consumption. We speculate that the possible reason is that under limited mileage and specific working conditions, the difference in energy consumption between the new and old systems may not be obvious.

In the NVH test, the noise of the new system when the vehicle is at a standstill is 39.5 decibels when the range extender is turned off, and 43.5 decibels when it is started. When the vehicle is driving at 60km/h, the noise is 57.3 decibels; we did the same test on the ideal ONE equipped with the old system, and the range extender is always on when the vehicle is stationary, and the noise is 43.0 decibels at 60km/h. The noise is 57.0 decibels.

It is worth mentioning that when the fuel priority mode is turned on, as long as the power is about 60%, the range extender will not work in most cases when parking, but occasionally it will work. The ideal ONE that uses the battery retention mode will basically activate the range extender under the same circumstances.

From the actual measurement results, the main NVH optimization scenario of the new energy mode is that the range extender is less active when parking, thereby reducing the noise at rest. As for the driving process, due to the addition of tire noise and wind noise, the noise of the range extender is not so obvious. Perhaps there will be some improvement in the noisy level of the sound, but no significant changes can be felt whether it is machine testing or human ear listening.

◆Upgrade 2: Adjust the amount of available oil:

We learned from the official that, in order to protect the oil pump, the ideal car limited the available oil in the 45L tank to 42L. Now the official believes that this limit is too conservative, so the redundant 3L oil volume is released by 2L, which brings the usable capacity to 44L. Based on the actual measured fuel consumption per 100 kilometers, the 2L of fuel released is equivalent to adding about 27km of NEDC cruising range to the vehicle.

◆Upgrade 3: New “Off-Road Relief” mode

We first carried out a pulley block test on the vehicle. In the previous test, the vehicle can only pass the test when the dual front wheels or dual rear wheels have adhesion. In the cross-country field test, we re-tested the items that were not satisfactory in the previous test. In the Butterfly Valley test, we can feel that the electronic limited slip system is more active than the old car and machine system. However, the improvement is limited. Ideal ONE’s new off-road escape mode only improves passability in certain limited scenarios, but this improvement is not enough to make it cope with actual off-road venues. ◆Upgrade 4: Newly added display of total cruising range, which can be displayed in NEDC and WLTC standards

Even under the NEDC standard, the apparent cruising range consumed by the vehicle is significantly less than the actual cruising range. It is speculated that if the energy consumption is relatively large in winter, the use of the WLTC standard to display the remaining battery life will be more referential.

◆Upgrade five: 360° surround view added “wheel view angle” function

In our parking process, we often encounter obstacles scratching the rim, and the biggest cause of this kind of accident is that it is difficult for the driver to detect the obstacles around the rim. The new ideal ONE system allows us to find obstacles beside the rim through the camera under the rearview mirror.

However, we also encountered a problem during the experience, that is, when the light is insufficient, the image of the wheel perspective is obviously underexposed, and it is difficult to see obstacles such as roadside steps. Even sliding the screen up to brighten the display has little effect. , It is recommended that the ideal can improve the exposure parameters of the picture in this relatively dark environment.

Another problem is that the “hub view” can only be switched between the front and rear wheels, and cannot be switched to the same side of the front and rear wheels at the same time. This leads to the fact that when parking on the side, we cannot take into account that the vehicle is on the side of the road at the same time. ◆Upgrade 6: Add WeChat car version

In actual experience, the distance to the car of the new version is significantly shorter than that of the old version.
