[YesAuto Racing Exposure] Aston Martin has released another super sports car. This time the product has a restrained and elegant style, and is a product that pushes performance to the extreme. How can I see it? This is a track-specific car with an all-carbon fiber body, and there are only 24 cars in the world.
The name of the new car is Vulcan, which means “Vulcan”. Aston Martin hopes to give hard-core fans of sports cars the opportunity to experience a unique driving experience on the track, in which “unique” is an essential element, and the two irrelevant words of luxury and performance have once again come to together.
The whole car is designed by Marek Reichman, Aston Martin's next-generation sports car design director. It is equipped with a 7.0L V12 naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of over 800 horsepower. The car uses a front center layout and rear-wheel drive. The car is equipped with a 6-speed sequential gearbox installed in the middle and rear, a limited-slip differential for racing, a carbon fiber drive shaft wrapped in a magnesium alloy torque tube, and a carbon ceramic brake system produced by Brembo. The vehicle design draws on the inspiration of the brand's GT racing cars. The carbon fiber “monocoque” single-piece cockpit and carbon fiber body embodies the extraordinary design level and the attitude of spare no expense.
In terms of control, Michelin tires with a width of 345mm ensure good power transmission. The shock absorber specially designed for the track is equipped with a Dynamic Damper Valve Adjustable System (DSSV). The driver can also dynamically adjust the ABS anti-lock brake system. The degree of involvement of the power system and the traction control system to maximize the use of the tire’s grip.
