  7. Miao Wei: China's new...

[YesAuto News] During the two sessions in 2018, Miao Wei, Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said in an interview that my country is studying the timetable for abolishing fuel vehicles. But at this stage, what is more important than this work is to quickly determine the proportion of my country's new energy vehicles after 2020.

Miao Wei pointed out: “We have determined that it will account for 8% in 2019 and 10% in 2020. New energy vehicles develop faster and account for a higher proportion. The faster the pressure on traditional vehicles, the greater the proportion. Less, this is a relationship of rising and falling. If this work is done well, the timetable will naturally follow.”

According to data released by the China Automobile Association, my country's automobile production and sales in 2017 were 29,015,400 and 28,878,900 respectively. This means that in order to achieve a 10% share, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in my country will need to reach about 3 million in 2020.

In the “Energy-saving and New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan” (2012-2020) released in mid-2015, it was clearly stated that by 2020, the production capacity of pure electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid vehicles will reach 2 million, and the cumulative The production and sales volume exceeds 5 million, and the fuel cell vehicle and automotive hydrogen energy industries are developing simultaneously with the international market.

The increase in the number of 1 million vehicles shows the Chinese government's confidence in the development of the new energy automobile industry, and the promotion in this field may be further increased in the future.

In addition, after the future suspension of the sale of fuel vehicles that consumers are concerned about, they have already purchased vehicles to use. Miao Wei pointed out that all the fuel vehicles in use will not be eliminated when the sale of fuel vehicles is stopped, and there will definitely be a transition period, which is the case in all countries in the world.
