[YesAuto Recall] A few days ago, BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. and BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine in accordance with the requirements of the “Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products”. The decision was made on January 12, 2015. Since then, some of the following models have been recalled, totaling 846 vehicles.

Recall models:

(1) Part of the BMW 320i GT, 320i Travel Edition, 328i GT, 328i Travel Edition, 428i Coupe and brand new M3 cars imported by BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. and produced between September 2014 and October 2014, totaling 436 Vehicles.

(2) Some BMW 316i, 316Li, 320i, 320Li, 328i, 328Li, and 328Li xDrive vehicles produced by BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. between November 2014 and December 2014, a total of 410 vehicles.

Reason for recall:

The front right seat belts of some vehicles within the scope of this recall have manufacturing defects. When the temperature is below 0 degrees Celsius, the front right seat belt may be difficult or impossible to pull out, causing the front right passenger to be unable to wear the seat belt, and the passenger loses the protection of the seat belt, which poses a safety hazard.

Recall method:

BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd. and BMW (China) Automotive Trading Co., Ltd. will inspect vehicles within the scope of the recall, and replace the front right seat belts of the vehicles with problems for free. To eliminate safety hazards.
