[YesAuto Wonderful Car Life] It is not uncommon for car companies to do charity news. Today we are talking about the top luxury car brand Rolls Royce.
Rolls-Royce’s manufacturing plant and headquarters are located in Goodwood, West Sussex, southeast England. Recently, it is composed of three local hospitals (St. Richard’s Hospital, Worthing Hospital and Shoreham Southland Hospital). The Trust Foundation “Love Your Hospital” has launched a new corporate fundraising activity aimed at raising funds for hospital projects to provide state-of-the-art medical equipment, support staff development, and improve the hospital environment.
Rolls-Royce customized an SRH (short for St Richard's Hospital) stroller for St. Richard's Hospital, which was hand-built based on the Phantom. This smallest Rolls-Royce allows children who are about to undergo surgery to drive to the operating room by themselves, through the corridors of the pediatric ward, which is also lined with traffic signs. This experience is designed to reduce the stress of children. Since its launch in 2017, more than 1,300 children have driven Rolls-Royce SRH to the operating room.
The head of the trust, Amanda Tucker, said, “It’s a great honor for so many local companies to join when we initiated fundraising activities. Their support is vital to ensure that we continue to improve the three hospitals’ Patient experience and work hard.”
Andrew Ball, Director of Corporate Relations at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “We are happy to support the “Hospital of Love.” This car has brought smiles to more than 1,300 children and their families, and this is their A particularly challenging moment in life, it will continue to make more young people feel a little relaxed during the treatment process.”
