I learned from his article that this core-changing CC model does not seem to be very passionate, because I did not personally experience it, so as a 2.0T owner I still look forward to the power performance of this flagship V6 model. This time we brought both the 2.0T and 3.0 models to the test site to see how much performance gap between them, or which model is more suitable for you, by the way, talk about the advantages and disadvantages of this car from the perspective of an owner. .

The similarities and differences between the 3.0 model and the 2.0T model

The first time I saw this car, it seemed to be no different from the CC I've seen before. After careful observation, it was only the four low-key V6 logos on the center grid, the fenders on both sides and the rear that interpret his difference. Even the exhaust is the same as the 2.0T model, with a single-side double-out mode.

The interior has been updated to the 2012 interior style, and the configuration of the central control color screen is also more fashionable and beautiful. At the same time, the seat is replaced with an orange and black two-tone tiger leather style, and there is also a black and white seat that is very beautiful.

Now let’s take a look at the place where the car has changed the most. Needless to say, the power of the old 2.0T model has a maximum power of 200 horsepower and a maximum torque of 280 Nm. The engine of this CC3.0 V6 model is derived from the improvement of the imported Magotan 3.2L EA390 VR6 engine. The angle is 15° and the structure is very compact. It is no wonder that this machine can be stacked in a golf ( R32). The maximum power is 250 horsepower, and the maximum torque is 310 N·m. According to the book data, it is much stronger than the 2.0T engine, but the vehicle mass is 65 kg heavier than the 2.0T model.

This engine was “castrated” at Volkswagen's headquarters in Wolfsburg, Germany. Compared with the original version of 3.2, this 3.0 engine has the same power, 250 horsepower and reduced torque from 330 N·m to 310 N·m. . As for the reason for castration, I believe everyone understands it. The vehicle and vessel use tax is charged according to the displacement. The tax standard for automotive products from 1.6 to 3.0 liters (including 3.0 liters) has been slightly reduced; and for automotive products above 3.0 liters The cost will increase. In order to win the Chinese market, Volkswagen had to improve its engine.

CC 3.0 is still equipped with the 6-speed DSG dual-clutch gearbox. The manufacturer said that this product is DQ250+ enhanced. As for the enhancement, the manufacturer can't say what it is. I was helpless at the time. However, the quality problems of Volkswagen DSG have been raging recently (click me to see related news). Not long ago, the official release of the latest news, DSG before December 31, 2012 extended the warranty to 10 years or 160,000 kilometers, provided that these 10 years must be maintained in 4S shops! I wonder if the owners of DSG should be happy or sad?

DCC dynamic chassis

This time the domestic CC is finally equipped with a DCC dynamic chassis system that even GTI and even the imported Golf R/ Scirocco R do not have. DCC is called “Dynamic Adaptive Chassis System”. In fact, it is mainly “Dynamic Adaptive Suspension System”. The most important component is a shock absorber whose electronic damping force can be dynamically adjusted. It can be divided into comfortable type, ordinary type, and sports type. The damping is adjusted according to the algorithm developed by the Volkswagen Group. According to different input signals, adjust the pulse spectrum of the shock absorber, which can be adjusted in static and in motion, so as to obtain the most ideal shock absorption setting.

Normal mode : Provides a stable and comprehensive state of balance, but also a dynamic driving experience, which is very suitable for daily driving.

Comfort mode : This setting tends to be comfortable, and the basic setting of suspension damping is weakened, which is more suitable for high-speed long-distance driving or bumpy road conditions.

Sports mode : to make the vehicle have more control feeling in extreme driving, and the suspension damping is adjusted to the strongest hardness.

Let’s take a look at the tires. As the flagship product of the CC models, and even the most expensive model of FAW-Volkswagen, the CC 3.0 uses the same wheels and tires as the 2.0T models. Are your wheels so strenuous? The tires are Goodyear Excellence tires, which are very wear-resistant and feel good for daily use.

The edited car is a 2011 model _2.0T Extreme, the original factory program, the original tires and wheels, only changed the grid and suspension, without changing the power system. Both vehicles are full tanks. (The fuel consumption must be filled up when calculating the final fuel consumption the day before, so I had to take the load to participate in the test)

0-100km/h acceleration

Let's take a look at the performance of this 3.0-liter engine with test data. In order to make the results more intuitive, my 2.0T will also participate in the test. The final result was surprising. The fastest time for the CC 3.0 was 7.78 seconds, and the 2.0T model ran out of 7.01 seconds in the last time (this result is the same as the value of the 2.0T model we measured at the beginning, which seems to be the limit of this car. As with ordinary 2.0T models, after turning off the ASR, engage the S gear, blast the throttle to 1500rpm (CC does not allow ejection), then release the brake and the throttle to the bottom. The DSG protects itself at the start, and the torque is ruthlessly limited, as can be seen from the drop in the G value on the graph. In about 0.5 seconds, DSG lifted the seal, and the Goodyear Excellence 235mm tire easily broke through the grip with the maximum torque of 310 N·m.

As for the 0-100km/h, it’s not a big problem that you haven’t ran through 2.0T. For short-distance acceleration, the 2.0T machine turbine is like a chicken blood after intervention. Judging from the acceleration curve, the second gear has maintained an acceleration of about 0.6G. Moreover, in terms of explosive power, turbocharged models are much stronger than V6 naturally aspirated models. The wide torque platform of 1700-5000rpm buys a lot of time for acceleration. And the 3.0 model has just warmed up and is ready to exert force, and the race is over. Having said that, the 7.78 seconds result is fast enough, and I can't really realize any difference in daily driving, but this may disappoint those friends who are looking forward to the performance of the 3.0 model.

100-0km/h brake test

I thought that the brake with a particularly low foot feel would not make a difference in the test. What I did not expect is that the average score of 41.5 meters is also normal, but it is not good at this price. Of course, DCC chooses the support of the suspension in the sport mode and the strength of the brakes are also important links. The suspension supports the body well when braking, and the posture is satisfactory. From the chart, there are not many dips in the g value, and there is no exaggerated curve, but the whole is kept in a small range, basically around -1g, and the whole process is stable and powerful.

However, this test was an emergency braking, and the brakes were fully applied. During daily use, the brake foot feel of the FAW-Volkswagen CC car is very soft, which cannot give the driver enough confidence. The front section seems to be unable to stand. Staying, I had to step on it deeply, and the ABS came out again…

400m linear acceleration test

After the regular acceleration test, in order to be more fair, we brought the 0-400m acceleration test. See if this castrated large displacement naturally aspirated engine can defend your dignity.

As you can see from the simplest chart above, the 2.0T model took the lead in completing the test, which took 15.21 seconds. The 3.0 V6 model's tail speed is relatively higher, reaching 151.51km/h.

In the initial stage, the 2.0T model has established a lot of advantages with its lighter weight and a wide maximum torque platform. The heavier 3.0 V6 model will naturally not be cheap. After shifting into the third gear and reaching 110km/h, the acceleration force of the 2.0T model began to slow down, while the 3.0 model has maintained a relatively stable output power and gradually narrowed the gap.

It can be seen from the graph that after 110km/h, the two curves tend to overlap. At 10.93 seconds, the speed of the 3.0 model reached 128.46km/h, which surpassed the 2.0T model (128.39km/h) and recovered. Because of the time behind the start, the first half took too long, and the overall time was still 0.09 seconds slower than the 2.0T model. Although the 3.0 model is faster, the advantage is not obvious. After the speed surpassed, the gap did not continue to widen, and the curves have been glued together. It seems that the power point of this castrated engine is still in the middle stage, and when it accelerates to the latter stage, it has an extra 50 horsepower to counter the extra 65kg mass.

Fuel consumption test

After reading the performance gap, as a household grocery shopping car, the PK of fuel consumption is essential. After we filled up at the same gas station, the two cars drove one after the other. After 128 kilometers, we returned to the starting point to calculate the fuel consumption.

Most of the road sections in this fuel consumption test are unobstructed urban loops and highways. The urban congested road section with an average speed of 20km/h only accounts for a small part, so this time only highlights the fuel consumption comparison of the two vehicles. Real fuel consumption. The actual total mileage is about 128 kilometers. The final measured 2.0T model is 7.4L/100km, and the 3.0 model is 10.6L/km. The difference between the two is 3.2L/km. Under such road conditions, the fuel consumption of the 3.0 model is still slightly higher. . The Volkswagen DSG gearboxes I have come into contact with seem to be very diligent and like to upshift, the speed is around 1200rpm when driving, and the fuel consumption under cruising is relatively low.

For this kind of fuel consumption, in fact, you don't have to worry too much. I usually go to and from get off work on the West Third Ring Road during peak hours, and some are unblocked and some are congested. The driving computer shows that it has been around 11 fuels. It is bad luck and the red lights are more red. 15 fuels are also him. What TSI+DSG fuel-efficient combination at this time is all for fun.

Noise test

The overall performance is excellent, and the low engine speed is also an important factor. Especially at 120km/h, the speed is only 2200rpm. Only when the speed is low, the noise will be easier to suppress.

To be honest, I am not very satisfied with the noise of CC. Frameless doors and 235mm tires are powerful noise creators. However, from the actual situation, the CC noise suppression ability is still quite good, and it is almost the same as the Magotan in all aspects.

Circling the pile and driving experience

The straight-line acceleration ability more shows the working state of the power and transmission system, and more tests the rigidity of the body and chassis manufacturing and adjustment during pile winding and daily driving. CC 3.0 is equipped with the DCC dynamic chassis control system that has been coveted by domestic Volkswagen fans. When winding the pile, we choose the “S” sport mode to feel the limit of the vehicle. After the sport mode is turned on, you can feel the suspension compression To a certain extent, it is more powerful than the comfort mode.

The light steering force allows the body to be controlled relatively easily in this extreme state, the pointing is not accurate, the reaction time is medium, but the tracking performance is good. The newly added XDS electronic differential lock can apply brakes to the inner front wheels when turning, helping to ease the situation of pushing the head. But don't think of this thing as a godlike existence. It's just an electronic assistance system based on ESP. It is much more reliable to use LSD than this thing.

In daily driving, although this CC is a bit tougher than Magotan, it is still biased towards comfort adjustment. The overall suspension is soft, small bumps and potholes can be well filtered out, and it will not make the driver and passengers irritated by vibrations, and sufficient toughness and support are also available. Things are good, that is, the suspension stroke is a bit longer. The suspension of the domestic CC is similar to a small SUV. The gap between the tires and the wheel eyebrows is generally more than four fingers. Of course, I have also seen a punch, as a model positioned in a coupe. Say, can't it be lowered a little bit? This kind of height can not touch the movement a little bit.

The sound lines of this VR6 engine in the entire speed range are full and delicate. In contrast, the 2.0T model is even more shriveled. Not as loose as American cars, the rhythm and the rhythm of shifting are very strong. Regardless of the average data it ran, it really feels powerful when driving.

Friends who have driven the Volkswagen dual-clutch model should have realized that the gearbox is quite fleshy when it is in D gear. Don't try to get plenty of power without stepping on it. The D block is adjusted more gently. Looking at this kind of similar interior and this kind of comfortable feeling will make you feel that I am driving a Passat? On the contrary, the whole car in S gear is like drinking 2 cans of Red Bull, lightly stepping on the accelerator and shifting above 3000rpm without discussion, the voice has become more high-pitched and violent, and the power is on call.

Undoubtedly, the DSG gearbox is good in terms of technology and practicality. The D gear is gentle and the S gear is manic. This extreme combination can actually take care of the needs of different drivers. As long as the public can really look at the DSG quality problems and after-sales as mentioned above, and do not avoid the problems, this transmission system is really a good choice for consumers.
