[YesAuto Racing Exposure] According to Porsche news, their next generation Porsche 911 RSR race car will be released at the Daytona 24 Hours Endurance in January 2017.

This new car is undergoing intensive testing on the Weissach test track. The test is done by several GT drivers, because each test driver can give suggestions from different perspectives.

The current Porsche RSR was built in 2013 based on the Porsche 991 Carrera. It has deep knowledge in the chassis and aerodynamics, and still uses the 4.0-liter horizontally opposed engine on the 997 GT3 RSR.

The new Porsche RSR models will still be used for GTE and GTLM events as before. (Compilation/Auto House Guo Feng)
