There are only two differences between Robin Hood and the Sahara models that were initially launched on the market, that is, the shape of the wide matt black fenders and side skirts is different from that of the Sahara. 1. Ultra-low speed four-wheel drive gear-very slow, very powerful

The test drive site has relatively common items such as gentle slopes, shell pits, sand and gravel roads, which basically include the “road conditions” that off-road vehicles may encounter.


Robin Hood is also different from the Sahara model in the transfer case. An ultra-low-speed 4-drive gear has a gear ratio of 4:1, which means that the maximum torque of the engine is amplified by 4 times. Of course, While amplifying the torque, the speed has also become very low. When trying to use the 4L gear, the speed of the 3rd gear is equivalent to the speed of the 2nd gear in the 4H gear. Under such a large torque, shifting will have a slight shock. , But it is still acceptable for a professional off-road vehicle, after all, torque is the first demand.

Before entering the small-angle slope, you need to hang the transfer case into the four-wheel drive gear (4H). At this time, the front and rear differential locks are both unlocked, and the front and rear differentials can work normally. The speed of the car can be smoothly passed through the gentle slope by controlling the brake and accelerator. Want a simpler way is to give this work to the ultra-low-speed four-wheel drive (4L) to complete, put the low-speed four-wheel drive (4L) gear when the gearbox is in neutral, then ROCK-TRAC time-sharing four-wheel drive The system will lock the front and rear wheels to a uniform speed, and the front and rear differential locks will still remain unlocked. The Sahara model that was initially launched is only equipped with the Cammand-Trac time-sharing four-wheel drive system, which can lock the torque of the front and rear wheels at 1:1 at the same time. However, the locking and disconnecting speed of the electronic differential lock cannot reach the effect of the purely mechanical differential equipped on Robin Hood models after all. So where is Robin Hood's top performance in the true sense? Is his skill useful? To be honest, if you are just playing around in the wild, you will usually not use or appreciate the role of Robin Hood mechanical differential lock. 3. Test drive extreme action-real strength!

“Cross axle” is a common extreme driving. The so-called cross axle means that the left front and right rear or right front and left rear two models lose their adhesion, and the other two wheels grip the ground.
